I had about a week off in between finals and starting my summer internship so I used it wisely! There was a lot of hiking, shopping, and movie-watching involved. David and I ventured over to the de Young Museum on Friday afternoon to view the Jean-Paul Gaultier exhibit (see my photos from last summer’s Balenciaga exhibit here). The exhibit was well-curated, with key pieces from a large range of his collections. The garments were beautifully constructed, with extremely detailed and intricate embellishments and craftsmanship, and the exhibit offered surprising details including faces that were projected onto the mannequins that allowed them to move and speak. Can you spot Marion Cotillard’s 2010 Oscar dress in gold?
P.S. If you haven’t noticed, my photos are bigger!
