Forever21 top, UO shorts, NineWest heels, DIY flower crown
This past weekend Ivette and I met up for an afternoon of crafting. I love this girl (I also got to meet her adorable bunny Brody). For our session (hopefully the first of many to come), we decided to make flower crowns. They’re perfect for spring and outdoor fairs/carnivals/concerts. I know mine will get a lot of use in the upcoming months! Check out how we made ours below:
Using the scissors, cut the flowers off of the bouquet, making sure to leave enough room on the stem to attach it to the wire.
Wrap the wire around your head to create the base of the crown (I wrapped mine around three times) and twist the ends around the base. Wrap the floral tape around the twisted section in order to prevent the sharp ends from poking you. Start attaching the flowers to the base, varying the type and length (I attached two at a time) and first secure by wire, and then floral tape. You can go as far around the base as you want. I left about one-fourth space of empty wire in the back.
