My love affair with loose denim continues. I’ve been having a hard time with jeans this past year — none of my 2019 pairs fit me currently (including both my beloved AGOLDE jeans), but I’m still holding out hope that they will fit me someday soon. So I’m actually grateful these roomier fits are trendy right now, since it allows me to purchase jeans that fit me right now and in the future as well, versus buying something like a slimmer straight leg that would fit me now but may look awkward when I lose the quarantine weight.
You all know I looove my vintage Levi’s jeans and rarely buy new Levi’s, but since my sizing is so unpredictable at the moment, I decided to go for a new pair and have been pleasantly surprised with these dad jeans. The fit is spot on — not too snug and not too baggy — and even though I’m currently closer to a size 25 or 26, I took these jeans in my usual size 24 since they definitely run oversized. Plus, 100% cotton Levi’s jeans have a tendency to stretch with wear, which was definitely the case here, so even though I was initially worried they might be snug around the hips, they loosened up within a day. I also purchased the Levi’s high loose straight (also a size 24) to see which fit I’d end up liking better, but TBD on whether I’ll keep those as well. Can a girl have too many loose jeans?
