My trip to San Diego was just what I needed to end Summer with a bang. My cousin Thao (pictured above) and I hung out at her apartment, ate junk food, made champagne cupcakes, and watched a slew of girly movies (Something Borrowed, Blue Valentine, Jane Eyre). And of course we went to the beach. The weather on Saturday was absolutely gorgeous so we headed down to Del Mar where we went to the farmer’s market, picked up some Indian food, and ate it by the water.

On Friday we went thrifting along University Ave. I stumbled on this adorable little shop called Hunt & Gather, where I picked up these shorts and these shades. The owner, Zoe, hand makes some of the jewelry, and the shop sells a combination of vintage clothes and pieces made by local artists.
