Finally ready to reveal to you guys the latest DIY project I tackled! I’ve been lusting after a transparent clutch for nearly a year now, ever since I experimented with one in this post. But seeing as they’re not exactly affordable for a piece of vinyl (looking at you, Minusey & Nasty Gal), I was excited to learn that they’re fairly easy to replicateโ€” and for way cheaper.
I followed Geneva’s tutorial from A Pair and a Spare, but scaled down the template to a smaller size. While the process itself was simple and straightforward, it took me so long to finish because collecting the materials proved to be an unanticipated feat. I bought a yard of 20 gauge vinyl at Joann for $3, but since I couldn’t find the screw top studs anywhere, I ordered them via Etsy from here. Took it for a spin for the first time this weekend to get coffee at Monkey Forest Road.
Now for the exciting part. With so much leftover material, I decided to make an extra transparent clutch for one of you to win! All you have to do is follow me on Bloglovin’ here and on Instagram @sunkissedstephblog, then comment below to let me know you’ve entered. The giveaway will run until next Monday, July 1st at midnight, and is open to US residents only. Good luck!
