Sharing the second of three looks this week styling vertical stripes to bid farewell to summer (you can see the first look here). Button-ups are my favorite (and easiest) way to incorporate vertical stripes into an outfit, but I wanted to style one that was different than just a simple shirt. Not only is this one short-sleeved, but it’s also cropped, which makes it more of a statement piece than your regular go-to shirt, plus it pairs well with high-waisted bottoms. My tip for segueing a piece like this into fall is to opt for heavy weight fabrics— a thicker culotte or pencil skirt (like the one from the first look) helps to balance out lightweight summer pieces, as does a chunky heel.
Stay tuned for part III!
