I’m all about nailing down a uniform, for both work and play, so anything that allows me to maximize on my sleep in the morning (yes, even if it’s noon on a Saturday) and minimize time spent getting ready before heading out the door is much appreciated. Ironically, as a blogger, I actually prefer wearing variations of the same thing everyday as opposed to switching it up— not for lack of creativity, or laziness (although that’s certainly a part of it), but because it just simplifies things. I even read an interesting take on the topic a few days ago, which you can check out here.

So when David wanted to check out the Ai Weiwei exhibit on Alcatraz this past weekend, I pulled out my most trusty pieces for an early call time to catch the ferry: a tee, slouchy jeans, a blanket coat for the high winds, and of course my Birks. Easy, comfortable, and low maintenance— if that’s not a weekend uniform, I don’t know what is.
