I haven’t felt the desire to wear a red lip since last January when I attended my company’s winter party. So no one is more surprised than me that this vampy brick shade is my newest full-blown obsession. A few weeks ago I had the chance to visit the Bite Beauty Lip Lab in Valley Fair where I created two bespoke lipsticks. While I went in knowing I for sure wanted a pinky nude color for the first lipstick, I didn’t have a clear vision for the second one. Thankfully, Paige, my lab artist, was both extremely patient and extremely knowledgable as we tested everything from browns to reds before settling on this stunning deep scarlet shade. I love how it applies more on the brown-red side than the pink-red side, which I never realized was so flattering for my skin tone. On top of that, this matte formula is literally the most pigmented and moisturizing one I’ve EVER tried (for someone who has perpetually cracked lips, even the slightest hint of dryness is a deal-breaker).
