I was first introduced to AGOLDE when I worked with them last year. Three pairs of jeans later, they’ve become my absolute favorite denim brand (I even wrote about them for POPSUGAR!), and I preach about them to friends, coworkers, anyone who will listen — even a few of you who have DMed me for denim recommendations! Extra excited for the opportunity to take their new Pinch Waist style out for a spin this season.
I know I tend to lean toward lighter washes (including my fave pair of AGOLDE Riley jeans), but I’ve been having fun playing around with darker washes recently! I love how this particular wash still has that faded, vintage-inspired look I love so much. I also love the super high-waist fit and ever-so-subtle kick-flare of this style.
If you’re interested in trying out AGOLDE jeans for yourself, here are a few of my notes about the brand:
– Size down! I find that their jeans tend to stretch quite a bit with wear, so I always go one size down from my usual size for the perfect fit. I’m 5’1″ and normally take a 24 in other brands (Levi’s, J Brand), but always take a 23 in AGOLDE. A lot of other AGOLDE customers (including a few POPSUGAR editors) suggest this as well.
– I’ve had a few people ask me if their inseams are petite-friendly. They’re not, but if you’re comfortable with a pair of fabric scissors like I am, don’t be afraid to take a couple inches off and give your jeans a new raw hem! I do this with all my jeans, including the ones I’m wearing here.
– Their high-waist fits are truly high-waisted. I have a longer torso and all of their high-waist styles cover my belly button.
– They make your butt look amazing (even the nonexistent ones like mine) — seriously I get so many compliments whenever I wear AGOLDE jeans.
If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask below!
Also, can’t forget to thank #BloomiesSF for always keeping me well-accessorized 🙂

Hello Steph,
These look gorgeous on you.
What is the colour?
I am planning on purchasing a pair.
Thank you
Irene
Hi Irene! These jeans are in the wash “Placebo” — hope you love them!
Thank you Steph much appreciated.
PS Lovely photos & great review 🙂
Hi Steph,
Thanks so much for the review.
Are the pics waist you are wearing a size 23 ? (I am about your same size)
Thank you
Yes, in these photos I am wearing a size 23 in the jeans!
Hi Steph! Quick question about these jeans! I find that Agolde tends to run quite loose/big in the waist for me. I am quite small at about 5’3 and 90 lbs, and 23 is my go-to size. Are these jeans really as pinch waist as they sound? Will they be too loose around my waist?
Thanks!!
Hi Nicky! If you have a 23 in other AGOLDE jeans, I would suggest a 23 here too! The Pinch Waist fits me how my other pair of AGOLDE jeans fit me (not any tighter or any looser), so I think you’ll be good with a 23 too. Hope that helps!
Hi Steph
Glad I found your post.
Couldn’t decide on a size for the Pinch Waist, so have been sitting on it for weeks. Am a Size 28 in Levis 315 and 314, Size 29 in Levis 501 and a Size 29 in Reformation Cynthia. BUT I cant button up a Size 30 in Levi 501 Wedgie. I have wider hips yet slimmer waist and thighs. Should I go for 28 or 29 in these Pinch Waist? Any suggestion?
These are the two pairs I have in mind
Pinch Waist Kick Flare in Panaromic (dark black wash)
Pinch Waist Straight Leg in Haze (Very light Wash)
Thank you <3
Hi Diya! I think you should do a size 28 in the Pinch Waist! I don’t have Reformation jeans, but my AGOLDE jeans are one size down from the size I take in Levi’s 501. Hope that helps and happy to answer any more questions!
Thank you Steph 🙂
Oh…the Agolde Pinch Waist looks gorgeous on you 🙂
Thank you so much!
