Getting Aggressive (With Fashion)

It felt so foreign to don something so dressy — I kept joking with David that I was wearing a really aggressive outfit, like who do I think I am?? 😂
For full disclosure, I was actually planning on inducting this Anine Bing Madeleine Blazer into my Just Buy This series, until I realized you can’t purchase this mustard plaid pattern anymore! I still thought I would review the style though, since the Madeleine comes in a few different prints and colors that the brand reinvents every season or so — you can still purchase the same style in a color that suits you if plaid isn’t your thing or wait for a new print (or find the plaid secondhand). I’ve had this blazer for over a year and LOVE it. Not only has it rendered all my (many) other plaid blazers obsolete, but it’s my favorite blazer period, even over my solid colored ones. It has a nice weight to it that feels luxurious, and the quality is amazing. Plus, the fit is perfectly oversized without being overwhelming, even on my small frame. And you know how some blazers only look good with the sleeves rolled? This isn’t one of those blazers. I’ve styled it with jeans and leggings, but wanted to show you just how versatile it can be by wearing it closed and belted as a (sort of) dress. If you’re on the hunt for a forever blazer, I highly recommend this one.
