I’m not entirely proud of it, but I’ve spent the better part of two months concepting and planning outfits for our upcoming engagement shoot — so much so that I haven’t had the energy to think about fashion in any other capacity. When you have a slightly unhinged tendency to try to color match pieces from different brands off your laptop in order to cobble together a “matching set” IRL, you inevitably end up with a lot of mismatched pieces. But at least now you understand why it’s taking me months to settle on an outfit! It’s not me, it’s the pieces! Lol.

Anyway, happy to report that I finally found my “matching” set and the irony is that I didn’t even go for an exact color match in the end. This Jonathan Simkhai top was actually one of the contenders I was considering to match back to a pair of Totême trousers. It might not have worked out for the engagement photos, but I love it for everything else and already know I’ll be wearing it quite frequently this summer.

Excited to not have bridal outfits consuming my thoughts anymore after our photoshoot this week! …At least until the next wedding-related event 🤪.
