It may look simple, but I’ve been envisioning this specific outfit in my head for months now — ever since I scored this Róhe top on sale back in June. I just needed a pair of sleek, dark wash barrel jeans to complete the look. That ended up being easier said than done, however, and I embarked on a months-long journey to find the perfect jeans, culminating in — much to my surprise and delight — the most affordable pair from Madewell. I hadn’t shopped at Madewell in ages, but this particular pair shows up repeatedly in my internet circle of tastemakers, so I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did — I ended up purchasing in-store where I discovered that Madewell offers complimentary hemming, which I took full advantage of. Barrel jeans are hard to find in shorter inseams! If you, too, are looking for a barrel shape with a slimmer, streamlined cut, I cannot recommend these jeans enough. They’re currently on sale for an insane $55, which is the same price I paid for them. I’ve already convinced several friends to buy!
