Based on how much I wore my Mango linen trousers last summer and this summer so far, the first item on my to-buy list this season was another pair in a darker color. Aside from how comfy they are (which is very, especially if you go up a size), I love how loose trousers somehow appear to be both dressy and casual at the same time. I’ve worn them to go wine tasting in Napa (where you know it’s easy to feel underdressed with everyone and their mom in full fashion fare) and to pick up toilet paper at Target, and they felt completely appropriate in both situations. I’ll be honest though, I do think they work best with something cropped on top and a little midriff showing, so it’s going to be tricky to transition these back to an office setting. I could see a skin-tight baby tee tucked in working, as well as a shoulder pad muscle tee, similar to how the model is styled on the Aritzia site. Any styling tips? What would you wear with loose trousers?
