First I’m wearing tomato red and now pistachio green — who am I? Granted, I did wear this shade last summer, but a green sweater makes an arguably bigger statement than a strapless top. Plus, I’m pairing the sweater with a secondary color: a camel skirt. After 15 years, I think I’m ready to start introducing more saturated color back into my wardrobe, in a considered way.
I’ve held my stance that summer is my favorite season to dress for, but fall dressing has really started to grow on me these past few years. This year in particular, I’m finding myself investing more in fall clothes than in summer ones (although perhaps that’s a symptom of having such a thorough and beloved summer wardrobe already). This is the first week of remotely autumnal weather here in the Bay and I’ve already purchased a leather jacket and four pairs of fall-coded pants, including leather barrel pants and olive green vintage Levi’s.
