I’ll be honest — Black Friday just isn’t something I pay much attention to. I find that as I get older, I purchase things because I truly want them, not because they’re marked down. But then sometimes, there’s that one designer piece that’s just so discounted, I’d be an idiot not to purchase. That was the case a few years ago with my beloved Nanushka bag which I got for a steal (as in, it was cheaper than how much a used one goes for on The Real Real) and still wear to this day. And that was the case for my one Black Friday purchase this year: these JW Anderson mules. You all know how much I adore my Birkenstock x Proenza Schouler sandals, so I wanted to find a pair that would serve a similar purpose, but for colder weather (even though I have no issue with wearing my Birks with socks in the winter 🤣). These JW Anderson mules are aggressively over-the-top and you either love them or hate them, but I can already tell they’re going to become my throw-on-and-go shoes for the next several months. In fact, this whole outfit has become my standard throw-on-and-go combo — definitely something you’ll catch me wearing to Target or to pick up milk tea.
