I often joke that I’m not a “real” blogger based on the sole fact that I could care less about whether an item I’m wearing is available for others to shop. For other bloggers, I know it’s a big priority to create content with “fresh” pieces that have recently arrived in stores and are still in stock for their followers to click through and purchase — and it makes complete sense if affiliate revenue is important to them!

But for me, I started this blog (seven years ago this week!!!) to share outfits I love and am excited to wear, not so readers could copy them piece for piece, but so they could be inspired by the idea and the styling to try something similar, with their own unique spin. So, even though over half the pieces I’m wearing here are either sold out or from a brand that no longer exists, I enjoyed putting the outfit together and wearing it out, and hope it encourages you to do the same. That’s how it’s been for the last seven years, and how I hope it will remain seven years from now.
