(Faux) Fitness Girl

Confession: I’m one of those people who hate working out but love looking like I could maybe work out. And leggings are definitely a part of my faux fitness uniform. Lol. Thanks to the team at Everlane, I got to take the new Perform Legging for a spin recently and short story short, I really like them! Firstly, they’re the most lightweight and high-waisted leggings I own (they come up above my belly button, and I have a slightly longer torso), and secondly, I love that they’re sustainably made with recycled nylon and dyed without harmful chemicals.
In terms of sizing, I will say I wish these fit me better, but a lot of this was out of my control since the leggings were gifted and I didn’t have sizing context going in. The one and only other pair of Everlane bottoms I own, the Wide Leg Crop Pant, I have in the smallest size (00 regular), and I needed to have them tailored since they were too big off the rack. Based off of this experience, I figured sizing would be consistent and that the smallest available size (XXS) would be sufficient. Unfortunately, they’re a tad too tight for me (getting in and out of them is a comical struggle), and I wish I had known Everlane’s recommendation to size up before selecting a size. In addition, only the regular length was offered to me, so in these photos, I tucked the hem under a few inches in order to show some ankle. Overall, not a huge deal, but if I had these same leggings in a size XS ankle, I’m confident I would love them even more.
