Feeling the 70s vibe this season, and it’s slowly working its way into my closet. First it was fringe, then lace-up heels, and now it’s these amber suede lace-up shorts. So swoon-worthy, right? They’re not my usual signature style, but when paired with the right pieces, namely minimal separates and black accessories, they can feel like more of a classic than a trend.
Both the shorts and top are from Centro39, which is a one-stop shop for luxury Italian designers, some of whom are globally renowned (Alberta Ferretti, Moschino, MSGM, and Oscar Tiye to name a few), while others are emerging and whose pieces you can’t find anywhere else stateside. If you saw on my Instagram, I had the chance to visit their showroom this past week at Union Square, and while there, I discovered designer Giada Forte, whose pieces I was instantly drawn to for their high-quality and ability to mix and match with ease.
