To be honest, I’m not much of a belt person. But recently, I discovered a brand that has me changing my tune. I was initially drawn to Beyond First World for its philanthropic efforts, as a portion of every sale is donated to non-profits that help prevent human trafficking worldwide. Van, the founder and a family friend, started her brand as a mission to raise money after meeting a girl in Vietnam who lost her mom to sex trafficking. Her story inspired me to get involved, and while it was the messaging that drew me in, it’s the belt itself that ultimately won me over. Not only is the design completely reversible, I can confidently say that the quality of the leather is just as good (if not better) than the luxury designer belts I own.
I encourage you to check out B1W — together, we can take steps to end human trafficking, not only in my family’s homeland of Vietnam, but beyond.
