To say that I dislike rainy days is an understatement. All I want to do is curl up in bed all day with a cup of something hot, a rainy day movie, and my man. Which actually isn’t far from what happened on this dreary day, accompanied by David’s delicious meyer lemon lavender poundcake.

I’m wary about knee boots since I find so many of them distasteful, but these are the one exception. I scored them for $40 at the Alameda Antiques Faire last year and they remain my rainy day staple, along with this jacket which I’ve had for years. David was looking spiffy this day, so I thought I’d include a photo of his outfit below, plus a fitting song.
