If you’ve been following my blog for any amount of time, you’ll know that I’m no novice when it comes to buying second hand pieces. In fact, when I started this blog almost 4 years ago, a majority of my wardrobe was comprised of pieces I thrifted on my college-student budget. These days, although I’ve since graduated from discount thrift shops to well-edited and nicely presented luxury consignment stores, buying previously used pieces is still wholly a part of my style mantra and lifestyle.
While my taste has (unfortunately for me) become more expensive over the years, let’s be real— buying full-priced designer pieces constantly just isn’t practical for this working girl. Which is why this year, I’m resolving to make smarter purchases, while still aiming for luxury.
That’s where thredUP comes in. A San Francisco based online consignment store, thredUP has some great designer pieces at even greater prices. Most Theory sweaters retail for $400, and I got this one, in pristine condition, for $83 plus an additional 40% off. Considering I can’t resist a good designer piece, buying it used is a much smarter investment— something I plan on doing a lot of this year. To kick things off? I’m obsessed with this this slinky dress and this statement top.

Thank you, Keri!
hi. i thinking of buying the mini mini like yours, so far how has been behaved is it damaged and how useful is with the string you have to tie up
Hi! I still have my bag and still love it! It’s in good condition after 2 years of use (although I don’t wear it as much these days as I used to). The leather drawstring is kind of stiff, so instead of untying it and tying it every time I need to get something from the bag, I just leave it permanently tied, but with an opening big enough for me to reach inside the bag and grab whatever I need. Let me know if you have any other questions!
So good, I can’t handle it. Going to go faint from this amazingness now k bye. http://www.thoughtfulmisfit.com
LOLZ k bye
how tall are you? Do you like your mini mini? I am debating on whether I should get the mini size or the mini mini. i love how you make it look, but I am wondering if it would look good on me. I am 5″7. Do you think it would fit a kindle?
Hey! I’m 5’1″ so the mini mini is perfect for me! The other 2 sizes would have been too overwhelming on my frame. It’s pretty tiny, and won’t fit a kindle — I have to carry a bifold wallet with this bag because a regular long vertical wallet sticks out at the top. It’s definitely more of a bare necessities kind of purse! Let me know if you have any other questions!
